Our founder, Marco, trained as a carpenter before becoming a building practitioner. His early career in the Netherlands and the UK exposed him to diverse building methods with climate performance being standard practice. Moving to Perth, he discovered the opposite approach, inspiring him to bring high-performance, climate-conscious inclusions to local homes.
Northern orientation is central to passive solar design, and the name Norde Homes, drawn from the Dutch word ‘Nord’ (north), pays homage to Marco’s heritage.
By combining European building principles with passive solar design, our goal is simple: create high quality homes that enhance daily life, reduce energy reliance, and work with the environment instead of against it.
